Paver Repair in Estero, FL
If there’s one repair cause that dominates in Estero above all others, it’s irrigation. The automated irrigation systems in virtually every Estero community run water over the same paver surfaces day after day, season after season. Over years, that concentrated water flow erodes the base material beneath driveway aprons, pool deck edges, and any paver surface near an irrigation head. The result is sinking and shifting that has nothing to do with the pavers themselves — and everything to do with what’s happening underneath.
The fix isn’t complicated. But it has to address the base, not just the surface. Resetting pavers without re-grading and recompacting the material below is a temporary repair that fails again within a season or two.
Pro Tip:
If you have recurring sinking in the same spot in Estero — a paver that sinks, gets reset, and sinks again — look at your irrigation coverage. The most likely cause is a zone running water directly onto or alongside that area. Redirecting the irrigation head solves the root problem; the base repair keeps the pavers level until you can get that done.

Primary Repair Causes in Estero
- Irrigation-driven base erosion — The dominant cause in communities like Bella Terra, The Reserve, and Estero Country Club where automated systems run over paver surfaces repeatedly.
- First and second-cycle settlement — Estero communities built 2000-2015 are now past initial settlement; base material that wasn't fully compacted at install continues moving in cycles tied to wet-dry seasons.
- Tree and palm root intrusion — Communities with mature landscaping like Wildcat Run and areas near the Estero River corridor see root-driven paver lifting.
- Pool deck drain sinking — Pool drains concentrate water in one spot. The base beneath nearby pavers erodes faster than the surrounding area, causing isolated sinking around pool equipment and drains.
- Edge restraint failure — Soldier course borders lose their lateral restraint over time, particularly in areas where irrigation has softened the base alongside the edging.
Why us?
How We Repair Estero Pavers
- Identify the actual cause — We don't just look at what's sunk; we assess why it sunk, which determines what the repair needs to include.
- Lift affected pavers and inspect the base — Sand erosion from irrigation looks different from root intrusion which looks different from settlement failure.
- Re-grade and recompact — Restore proper base depth and compaction, add road base where needed.
- Address contributing factors where possible — Document irrigation zones causing base erosion for homeowner reference.
- Reset pavers to original level and alignment.
- Refill joints with polymeric sand — Stabilizes joints and reduces future erosion from irrigation runoff.
- Seal the repaired section to match the surrounding surface.
Estero Communities Where We Do Regular Repair Work
- Bella Terra (Corkscrew Road) — Irrigation-related sinking is the primary issue; large community with high call volume.
- The Reserve at Estero (US-41) — Mix of irrigation and settlement repairs, HOA documentation often required.
- Wildcat Run — Mature tree canopy means root intrusion alongside the irrigation issues.
- Estero Country Club — Pool deck repairs around equipment and drains are most common.
- Villages of Bonita / Estero section — Newer construction on the Estero/Bonita border, first-cycle settlement repairs.
- Properties near Coconut Point — Commercial and residential mix, irrigation-adjacent sinking common in the landscaping-heavy streetscapes.

Yet again, I continue to be very pleased with the Paver Protectors! These folks are my go to for anything related to paver/sidewalk cleaning and/or sealing. I have been using them for 6-7 years now and couldn’t be more satisfied. Adam C. was today’s technician and he was great! I would highly recommend Jeff and his team at Paver Protectors to anyone needing their pavers or sidewalks cleaned/sealed. 5 star service every time!

These guys did a terrific job! They had to level our pavers and so they had to lift all the pavers around the pool, add sand and then put all the pavers back down. They also replaced our 2 inch drain with a 3 inch drain which was a tough job to do! They arrived on time at 8:30 and were finished by 5pm.
They did such a good job that we have scheduled them to power wash and seal both our lanai and our driveway!
Thanks Larry and Dennis!

Alissa was very pleasant and helpful in arranging the cleaning and sealing of our patio pavers. She clearly answered questions and promptly prepared an estimate for me. Similarly, Junior was great to deal with at our home. He explained the process to me and discussed the timeline on when to use the patio after treatment. He took care in the cleaning of the pavers and application of sealer. He also checked if I had any questions. Our patio now looks refreshed with the more vibrant colours that previously looked faded. I am very pleased with the total experience with Paver Protectirs and would highly recommend them!
