Will sealing the pavers around my pool make the area slippery?
Our sealers will not typically make your brick pavers slippery. Obviously, when a protective coating of any kind is put on a surface that is porous, the surface will not be as rough as an unsealed surface. If your pool deck is made of Travertine or Stamped Concrete, then the areas can become slippery when wet. These surfaces can be slick to start with, and sealing may increase the risk of the area being slippery. This is also true with areas that have been sealed before with a xylene or solvent based sealer. We do have an additive that can help with traction issues around slippery surfaces. 
Will my pool get dirty?
We use surface cleaners when cleaning brick pavers, travertine, and stamped concrete areas. This helps keep all dirt and debris that may come off the pavers in a controlled area. This enables us to keep dirt that may get into your pool to a minimum. We rinse all dirt away from the pool and out of the pool area. Surface cleaners are a very important tool when cleaning brick pavers. Use of high pressure wands can do damage and blow out the sand from the sand joints. As part of our cleanup, we hand wipe all bottom rails of screen cages, and deco drain tiles. These areas are wiped with a cleaning solution to insure a clean area upon completion. |
